Indiana University (IU) football fans are in for a treat this spring. The Hoosiers’ 2026 national championship trophy, along with other prestigious awards, will be showcased across the state.
The tour runs from March 24 to April 21. Fans can see the College Football Playoff (CFP) national championship trophy, the Big Ten championship trophy, the Rose Bowl trophy, and the Peach Bowl trophy up close.
It’s free to attend, and you can snap a photo with the hardware if you’re into that sort of thing. The tour hits nine cities, so there’s a decent chance it’ll swing by somewhere near you.
Indiana Football’s Historic Achievements
The 2025 season was wild for the Hoosiers. Under Coach Curt Cignetti, the team went 16-0—yeah, you read that right—making them the first 16-0 national champion in modern major-college football.
The road to the title wasn’t boring, either. There was a 38-3 win over No. 9 Alabama in the Rose Bowl, a 56-22 blowout of No. 5 Oregon in the Peach Bowl, and a gritty 27-21 victory over No. 10 Miami at Hard Rock Stadium.
Key Victories in the Playoff Run
Indiana’s playoff run just showed how dominant they were. The Hoosiers never trailed in any playoff game, which is kind of wild when you think about it.
Their biggest moments?
- Rose Bowl Victory: 38-3 over Alabama.
- Peach Bowl Triumph: 56-22 against Oregon.
- National Championship: 27-21 over Miami.

Coach Curt Cignetti’s Impact
Coach Curt Cignetti has really turned IU football into something special. In just two years, he’s led the Hoosiers to a 27-2 record, including 17-1 in the Big Ten.
Some milestones under his watch:
- Two College Football Playoff appearances
- Playoff wins over Alabama, Oregon, and Miami
- The first 16-0 season in modern major college football
- IU’s first Big Ten championship since 1967
- IU’s first Heisman Trophy winner in quarterback Fernando Mendoza
Looking Ahead: The Indianapolis 500 Honor
On top of everything, Coach Cignetti’s set to be the honorary pace car driver for the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 24. That’s a pretty cool nod to his impact and, honestly, a fun way to celebrate the season.
Fan Engagement and Community Support
The Hoosiers’ run wouldn’t have been the same without their fans. IU athletic director Scott Dolson made a point to shout out the fans and their energy.
From Indianapolis to Pasadena to Atlanta to Miami, Hoosier fans showed up and made every game feel like home turf. That kind of support? It matters—probably more than most people realize.
*We are excited to give Hoosier fans from every corner of the state a chance to see the trophies in person this spring*, Dolson said. The tour is as much about the fans as it is about the team’s big year.
The upcoming trophy tour is a nod to what the Indiana Hoosiers football team has pulled off lately. Fans get a rare chance to see these trophies up close and really soak in the team’s historic moments.
