The 2026 college football recruiting cycle is really picking up steam as official visits get underway. Over the past week, some of the nation’s top high school football players made their college choices, with 12 players pledging to SEC programs.

This batch of commitments includes 11 prospects from the 2026 class and one underclassman. Seven SEC schools landed at least one new recruit, and Georgia led the charge.

Georgia Bulldogs Lead the Pack

Georgia’s recruiting machine just keeps rolling. The Bulldogs pulled in three commitments this week, including two Top247 prospects.

Carter Luckie: Defensive Lineman

Carter Luckie, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman from Norcross High School in Georgia, committed to the Bulldogs after an official visit to Athens. He’s following his older brother, Lawson Luckie, who’s already a tight end at Georgia.

Carter picked Georgia over Florida State, NC State, and Ohio State. Last season, he stacked up 51 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, two sacks, nine quarterback hurries, and two pass breakups.

In his sophomore season, he caught 23 passes for 353 yards and six touchdowns. Not a bad start for a young receiver.

Mississippi State’s New Additions

Mississippi State made some noise too, landing two crucial commitments.

Kaleb Morris: Defensive Lineman

Antavius Watts, a 6-foot-0, 185-pound safety from Carver in Columbus, Georgia, joined Mississippi State after his official visit. He held offers from Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Miami (OH), South Alabama, and UMass.

Other Notable SEC Commitments

A few other SEC schools landed important commitments as well.

Carmelow Reed, a 6-foot-7, 250-pound defensive lineman from Rich Township in Olympia Fields, Illinois, flipped from Wisconsin to Ole Miss after his official visit. He’s now the eighth commit for Ole Miss in the 2026 cycle.

Kentucky: Davis McCray

Davis McCray, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver from Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio, Texas, committed to Kentucky after his official visit. He chose Kentucky over Houston, Washington State, Rice, and Columbia.

McCray is Kentucky’s second commitment for the 2026 class. The Wildcats are starting to put the pieces together.

Texas A&M: Camren Hamiel

247Sports rank: 3-star | 89 rating | No. 34 CB

Camren Hamiel stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He plays cornerback for Desert Edge out in Goodyear, Arizona.
